Drive technical excellence and process standardization for Plastic Injection Molding at a Global level.
Provide leadership in Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) implementation, molding technology development, tool and process feasibility support for NPI, and global SME development.
Lead global deployment of Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) best practices across sites, ensuring operational discipline from NPI through mass production.
Define, develop, and execute a global plastics processing training strategy — from beginner levels through SME and Trainer certification.
Support business development by providing technical guidance for quoting, feasibility, and customer-facing technical engagements.
Drive NPI readiness via process simulations, mold design reviews, early process feasibility validations, and initial mold trials.
Lead proof-of-concept evaluations and scaling for advanced molding technologies (cavity pressure sensing, RJG CoPilot, Kistler ComoNeo, closed-loop systems).
Collaborate with tooling engineering for aligned processing and tooling strategies.
Support site molding operations with technical troubleshooting, DOE, root cause analysis, and escalation management.
Develop and maintain global processing standards, documentation templates, and best practice libraries.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical career development for molding engineers globally.
Communicate effectively at all organizational levels including executive leadership, site operations, and customers.
Requirements
Expert-level knowledge of Injection Molding Processing, Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) principles, and associated tooling/mold technologies.
Strong technical expertise in mold validation, DOE, root cause analysis, and new mold introduction (T1/T2 trials through PQ/OQ).
Demonstrated experience with processing monitoring systems (e.g., RJG CoPilot, Kistler ComoNeo) and sensor integration (cavity pressure, temperature sensors).
Knowledgeable in Manufacturing Systems (MES integration for molding preferred).
Ability to structure and deliver technical training programs globally.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; effective oral and written communicator across technical and executive levels.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology.
Project management and team leadership skills with ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
Ability to analyze complex problems, lead cross-functional teams, and implement sustainable solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
RJG Master Molder Certification(s) preferred (Master Molder I and II); RJG Train the Trainer Certification highly preferred.
Minimum 10 years recent experience in injection molding process development, NPI support, and manufacturing operations, preferably in a global or multi-site environment.
Experience managing teams or technical initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations is preferred.
