About the role
- Manage supplier selection process and part validation process for design, NPI, and risk/cost reduction.
- Accountable for BOM pricing and resolving cost differences.
- Solicit and coordinate supplier Design for Manufacturability recommendations.
- Develop supply chain strategy and guide qualification process for components and suppliers.
- Lead purchasing organization with supply chain projects including cost optimization and quality improvement.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain) with eight years or more of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Masters degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and identify key information to manufacture a component such as following GD&T guidelines.
