About the role
- Lead and manage the end-to-end construction project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery.
- Develop project plans and timelines, including setting project goals and objectives, determining project tasks and resource requirements, and coordinating with team members to ensure project completion is on-time and within budget.
- Manage the budget and financial performance of the project, including monitoring project costs, tracking expenses and identifying areas of potential cost savings.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to establish project expectations and provide regular updates on progress and any issues that arise.
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including building codes, safety standards and healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project design and construction align with project goals and objectives.
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during projects and ensure any changes to the projects are properly documented and approved.
- Ensure projects are completed to the satisfaction of the clients and projects are handed over in a timely and efficient manner.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field -OR- equivalent experience
- Proven track record of at least 8+ years in project management roles within the construction industry.
- In-depth understanding of the full construction process.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, delivering them on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make decisive decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (ie: Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Experience managing/overseeing construction projects in a hospital/medical setting AHCA experience not required but is a definite plus.
