Key responsibilities & impact

Cultivate and manage relationships with existing donors, with an eye toward maintaining and growing their support
Identify new funding sources through prospect research
Plan and execute high-impact donor events that raise funds and expand J Street's network
Develop and steward 1+ chapters in your region, with an annual plan developed alongside chapter leaders
Create programming that makes chapters a genuine home for the broader J Street community
Identify, develop, and empower lay leaders in key cities across your region
Build relationships between J Street and rabbis, communal and political influentials, donors, and activists
Maintain accurate and current regional data

Requirements

What you’ll need

A strong commitment to J Street's mission, including support for a secure, Jewish and democratic future for Israel and an active US role in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict diplomatically
At least 4 years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate relationships with a wide range of community contacts
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly represent J Street's positions
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel regionally; the NY/Florida role requires quarterly travel to Florida
Valid driver's license
