About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems
- Analyze failure of mechanical systems and evaluate quality of construction
- Perform field investigations and lead examinations of damaged properties
- Research failure modes and provide recommendations for repairs
- Prepare accurate reports for clients detailing opinions and conclusions

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience within insurance or legal forensics
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Willingness to participate in expert witness work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Flexible to travel approximately 30–50%
