About the role
- Investigate the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems
- Analyze the failure of mechanical systems and evaluate construction quality
- Perform field investigations and documentation of damaged property
- Research failure modes and provide recommendations for repair
- Prepare accurate, clear, thorough reports for clients
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams on complex assignments
- Maintain relationships with clients and consultants
- Stay current on company policies and participate in ongoing training
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
- Residency in the state of Florida is required
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- A desire to learn, excel and grow with us and within the profession
- Must be flexible to travel and accommodate approximately 30–50% travel
