About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze financial strengths and weaknesses of prospective and existing customers to determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services
Establish and maintain effective communication with a creditable information network
Develop, implement, and manage collection procedures in accordance with established credit policies
Manage the collections process, including follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past-due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies
Provide insight for updating credit policy with new concepts and procedures
Analyze and recommend specific reserves for bad debt expense when assigned
Understand, communicate, and implement Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures
Assist in providing and interpreting credit information for management and others as required
Remain informed of agricultural trends, changes, and practices
Oversee two Credit Analysts within the region
Provide Area Financial Services coast-to-coast across the United States, including Hawaii

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university
5+ years related experience and/or training in Credit Management and Financial Services
Ag Finance experience preferred but not required
Turf & Horticulture experience preferred
Must reside within the Central Time Zone, preferably within 50 miles of a major airport
Must live within close proximity to a major airport for regional travel expectations
Ability to travel up to 25%
Candidates must be able to satisfy a post-offer criminal background check if offered the position
