About the role
- Establish and execute 1–3-year category strategies across construction, maintenance and capital equipment to deliver value across Simplot’s Ag Retail footprint.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across the business entity including Engineering, Capital Project Management, Operations, and Finance.
- Include spend analysis and opportunity mapping, external market analysis, supplier segmentation and supplier management, and establishing multi-year project portfolio.
- Lead sourcing projects based on category strategy and support on-demand projects from internal stakeholders, focusing on assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation, and relationship outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field).
- 3+ years in Procurement, Project Engineering/Management or closely related commercial role.
- Demonstrated experience with RFx processes, contracting, negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Strong analytical skills including spend analysis, market/data analysis, opportunity prioritization.
- Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships, prioritize competing priorities, influence decisions, and drive cross-functional outcomes.
- MS Office Suite (Word – contract redlining, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
