About the role
- Embed strategy & governance and coordinate all cross-functional sustainability measures across the supply chain
- Identify and manage cross-topic and cross-departmental projects
- Collaborate across interfaces with supply chain specialist departments and the central Corporate Sustainability team resources
- Support the development of a central end-to-end Supply Chain Centre of Excellence (CoE) for holistic management of functional sustainability topics
- Carbon footprint management reporting and analysis of the functional CO2 footprint together with the specialist departments and the central Corporate Sustainability team resources
- Identify and drive projects to reduce the functional carbon footprint along the supply chain, particularly in cooperation with the supply chain specialist departments
- Raise awareness and train employees on carbon footprint management
- Energy management reporting of energy metrics and preparation of management reports
- Manage technical energy-efficiency measures and energy-saving projects
- Maintain and further develop the energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001
- Raise awareness and provide training for employees on energy policy, climate protection and energy management
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits
- Appointment as Energy Management Representative
Requirements
- Degree in a natural science, technical or supply chain field with an appropriate focus, or a degree in sustainability management
- Alternatively, equivalent training in a technical or logistics field with suitable specialization
- Experience and knowledge in department-relevant topics advantageous, e.g., the Building Energy Act (Gebäudeenergiegesetz), ISO 50001, and sustainability in supply chain and logistics processes
- Solid knowledge in project management — experience implementing energy management or carbon footprint management projects is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills, pronounced team orientation and excellent communication skills
- Analytical way of thinking and working to identify savings potential
- Results- and implementation-oriented, with an independent working style
- Business-fluent German and English
