About the role
- Draft legal correspondence with support from Senior Paralegals
- Work closely with team members in Collections and Litigation to ensure clerical order across the department, facilitating positive customer outcomes
- Handle inbound and outbound correspondence for the department
- Collection and delivery of physical post each day
- Assist Collection Managers & Paralegals with referrals to third parties, such as Solicitors, High Court Enforcement Officers and Insolvency Practitioners
- File records and log incoming mail
- Draft letters as part of the legal process
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team
- Keep accurate system records of activities, observations and outcomes within the Collections and Litigation processes
- Alert relevant Collector or Paralegal of issues requiring their attention
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation regulatory body guidelines and adhere to our company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Great organisational and time management skills
- Ability to think on your feet while following Collections and Litigation processes and policies
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork - you’ll be liaising with colleagues across the business and also external suppliers
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Ability to learn quickly and develop both new and existing skills
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
- Confident to raise issues that may need addressing or suggest improvements to existing processes
- Ability to perform well under the pressure of multiple deadlines
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a real enthusiasm for helping SMEs
- Previous legal/administrative experience would be ideal but is not essential
- Previous knowledge of Google Docs and Google Sheets would be beneficial
