About the role

  • Build APIs, user interfaces, and ecommerce plugins that help suppliers get paid fast.
  • Shape the end-to-end experience for buyers and suppliers, using data to guide improvements and measure impact.
  • Work closely with product, design, operations, and other teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused features.
  • Improving checkout conversion: Testing different UX approaches and payment options to reduce friction at checkout and increase conversion for sellers using iwocaPay.
  • Smarter credit decisions: Enhancing decision engine to offer more accurate and instant credit decisions for buyers, based on real-time data.
  • Ecommerce integrations: Expanding and improving plugins for major ecommerce platforms.
  • Seamless use of other iwoca products: Making it easier for customers to access all iwoca’s products, creating a seamless journey for customers.

Requirements

  • Significant back end engineering experience, ideally using Python
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining API endpoints
  • Confidence working across the full stack, including front-end development in React/TypeScript, with a desire to learn new technologies
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear, effective technical solutions
  • Familiarity with PHP, particularly for contributing to ecommerce plugins (Bonus)
  • Experience with Django and PostgreSQL (Bonus)
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, including containerisation and CI/CD (Bonus)
  • A strong numerical or technical background, with a degree in maths, physics, computer science, engineering, or relevant industry experience (Bonus)
