About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
Develop and manage event-driven architectures using Kafka
Design and implement RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
Take ownership of backend architecture and contribute to technical decision-making
Actively contribute to frontend development using React as part of day-to-day work
Work closely with Product, QA, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end features
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to production
Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and performance
Continuously improve system design and team practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in Java backend development (Java 8+)
Proven experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
Strong experience designing and building REST APIs
Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins
Demonstrated willingness to work across the stack, including frontend development with React (mandatory)
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
5–8 years of experience in software development, with a strong backend focus
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
English proficiency required for working with US-based teams.
