About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Division Controller and contribute to the strategic direction of the Division
- Help leaders throughout the business understand how their choices impact financials
- Set high standards for performance for self and team
- Work to meet or exceed expectations, instill ownership and accountability in people
- Delegate and follow-up effectively
- Understand all functional areas of the business and what drives results
- Demonstrate strong strategic insight and anticipate future trends
- Ensure integrity of quantitative and qualitative data shared with senior management
- Present well-rounded recommendations as input for business decisions based on facts and solid data
- Empower, coach, and facilitate others in 80/20 and the ITW toolbox
- Identify, communicate, and train others on key business drivers
- Finalize corporate monthly, quarterly & annual submissions
- Support Sales/Marketing teams with pricing & negotiations
- Ownership of full US Financials and reviewing/approving monthly financials and reconciliations
- Identify and Lead ITW Toolbox initiatives
- Perform ad hoc projects/analysis as requested.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree - B.A. /B.S. from four-year College or University in Accounting or Finance
- CMA or CPA a plus
- 6+ years of experience in Accounting function
- Working knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
- Ability to assess financial data and prepare analysis and forecasts as needed
- Must be able to adhere to deadlines, manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure
- Ability to identify areas for opportunity or simplification and implement best practices
- Strong understanding of Accounting
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and work well within a team
- Drive to grow and succeed
- Eagerness to learn new areas
- Ability to lead a team and be an excellent at developing talent within the organization
- Must be eligible for employment in the United States
- Travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
