About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyse non-BAU transactions with the Head of Financial Reporting, including corporate transactions, M&A activity, and discontinued operations
Analyse complex revenue transactions, defined benefit pensions, and consolidation impacts from Group restructurings
Deliver half- and full-year statutory financial statements under IFRS for a listed company
Act as primary ITV contact for the Group external audit, coordinating to tight deadlines and delivering technical audit aspects
Prepare and present Audit Committee papers and presentations on complex transactions, with conclusions and management recommendations
Maintain statutory financial information integrity for entities in the Group’s shared business area
Manage period-end deadlines, primary reviews, and non-BAU accounting
Own the Group’s IFRS 18 implementation and analyse its impact on financial statements
Collaborate with finance systems teams on Chart of Accounts configurations
Maintain and update the Group accounting policy manual and draft policies
Provide technical expertise on IFRS and UK GAAP queries
Deliver technical training and accounting updates across the ITV finance community
Drive continuous improvement across processes and controls in shared business areas
Report directly to the Head of Financial Reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified with Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
Essential prior experience in audit practice auditing listed entities, or an equivalent industry financial reporting role
Deep technical accounting knowledge across IFRS and UK GAAP
Specific expertise in business combinations, consolidation accounting, and revenue recognition
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear, practical guidance for commercial and non-finance stakeholders
Genuine interest in high-quality external financial reporting and complex technical accounting solutions
Resilient problem-solving approach, initiative, clear ownership, and ability to navigate obstacles
Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
Proven track record of building trusted, collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups
Flexibility in working hours to meet critical financial reporting deliverables and milestones
Ability to travel occasionally within the UK between London and Manchester offices
