About the role
- Have willingness to work in more than one shift in a structured rotation: monitor alerts, acknowledge, triage, contain, escalate and resolve incidents per runbooks and SLAs.
- First-touch incident response for network, security, Wi-Fi and server layer incidents; own incident tickets until handover/resolution.
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues across Juniper switching, Juniper APs, Palo Alto firewalls, VMware hosts, and Azure VMs.
- Execute configuration changes, firmware updates and maintenance tasks following change control and scheduled maintenance windows.
- Maintain, update and operate runbooks, escalation matrices, SOPs and post-incident reports (RCA for P1/P2 incidents).
- Liaise with Sienna and other third parties for fiber / circuit / backbone incidents; coordinate ticketing and escalation.
- Maintain visibility into health metrics: interface/bandwidth, latency, power/PoE, AP associations, HA state, firewall logs, CPU/memory on infra hosts.
- Perform capacity checks, basic performance tuning, and execute pre-approved remediation playbooks.
- Support patching and image management for switches, APs and firewalls in concert with change windows.
- Document all changes and incidents in the ticketing system and share updates in the biweekly delivery health reports.
- Participate in oncall handoffs, shift logs, and weekly review meetings; contribute to continuous improvement of detection and automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on network operations experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong Juniper experience (CLI, Junos OS, routing/switching, VLANs, STP, LACP, EVPN/VXLAN a plus).
- Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, security policies, NAT, HA, Panorama preferred).
- Hands-on with Wi-Fi/AP provisioning and troubleshooting (Juniper/other controllers, AP provisioning, RF basics).
- Familiar with VMware vSphere administration (basic VM, host, datastore, networking troubleshooting).
- Exposure to Azure IaaS (VM management, basic networking, troubleshooting VNETs).
- Comfortable with network monitoring & alerting tools and practices (SNMP/Traps, syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, dashboards).
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar) and change control workflows.
- Solid Linux/CLI skills for diagnostics and automation (shell scripting desirable).
- Strong English communication skills (written & spoken).
- Macedonian language skills are a plus.
Benefits
- Fully remote role with structured shift roster and clear SLA expectations.
- Work on large, critical international infrastructure with visible impact.
- Competitive local compensation and shift premiums for nights/weekends (details in offer).
- Professional development budget and certification support.
