Drive execution across multiple initiatives, balancing short-term delivery with sustainable technical direction.
Foster strong engineering practices around code quality, testing, documentation, and iterative delivery.
Coach and mentor engineers, supporting career growth and healthy team dynamics.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to align on dependencies, and shared goals.
Contribute to hiring and onboarding as the team grows.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
3+ years of experience managing and growing software engineering teams.
Strong background in application or platform engineering, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Experience owning mission-critical services with strict availability and performance expectations.
Strong technical judgment across system design, APIs, distributed systems, and developer workflows.
Experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed document indexing and query systems.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive execution across multiple initiatives.
Experience operating production systems at scale, including on-call and incident response.
Excellent communication skills and ability to align technical work with business and product goals.
