About the role

  • Support and guide definition, implementation, and delivery of software products and features focused on modernizing various software systems.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the assigned team product backlog to ensure the development team delivers maximum business value.
  • Work with the government team to clarify requirements (initiatives, features, & stories).
  • Assist in managing and refining the team product feature backlog.
  • Lead user story development and refinement of acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize functionality into sprints and coordinate management of expectations.
  • Support program-level functional roadmap development.
  • Provide functional needs and depth of understanding to the team during sprint planning.
  • Support and highlight business value presentations at system demos and iteration reviews.
  • Coordinate efforts across the program and work dependencies with the greater team.
  • Facilitate team backlog refinement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must work east coast work hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager working with agile software teams.
  • Experience utilizing SAFe methodologies for agile delivery of business systems and applications.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at various levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
  • Outstanding presentation and leadership skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; proactive disposition toward identifying problems and providing solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must work east coast work hours.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Preferred: Certified SAFe® Product Manager/Product Owner.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting ServiceNow implementation projects.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
