About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a Junior Software Engineer in Itaú Unibanco’s Legal Community
- Develop, maintain, and modernize systems for Itaú’s in-house Legal department and its Civil Legal Operations, Legal Notices, and Labor Law Operations
- Work on the Advisory Squad, responsible for the Advisory, Sponsorship and Donations, Bills, Paralegal, and Corporate Affairs products
- Maintain legacy .NET systems
- Modernize legacy systems by migrating them to AWS Cloud, in line with the bank’s overarching goal for 2028
- Serve internal and external clients, as well as the Judiciary, through architectural enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic knowledge of programming logic and software development best practices
- Initial experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Familiarity with software architecture, including APIs, layers, and basic DDD concepts
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries, including simple SELECT and JOIN statements
- Familiarity with code version control using Git / GitHub
- Understanding of software testing, including unit testing
- Introductory knowledge of Cloud, preferably AWS, or an interest in learning
- Understanding of CI/CD and automated deployment processes
- Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum / Kanban

- Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, Angular, or React
- Familiarity with messaging systems or events
- Academic experience or personal projects using .NET
- Interest in learning about observability, including logs and metrics

- Curiosity and interest in using Artificial Intelligence to accelerate software development
