About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will work on the evolution and modernization of Itaú's Financial Messaging platform, responsible for communication with clearing houses and other participants in the financial ecosystem.
This is a highly critical environment with high transaction volumes, where performance, resilience and reliability are essential.
The area is at a strategic point of evolution, focusing on distributed architecture, messaging and cloud, presenting real engineering challenges and opportunities for direct business impact.
You will work in a multidisciplinary squad, participating across the entire engineering lifecycle:
Participation in technical refinements and solution design
Frontend development with React (TypeScript)
Also working on backend development with Golang
Implementation and evolution of REST APIs
Building solutions in distributed, event-driven architectures
Working with messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS, EventBridge)
Development on AWS (managed services)
Writing automated tests (unit, integration and frontend - Jest/RTL)
Support and incident resolution
Mapping critical processes and flows
Contributing to legacy systems modernization
Use of AI to support development, testing and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with React + TypeScript
Experience with AWS (cloud and distributed services)
Experience with API integrations and distributed systems
Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architecture
Experience with automated testing (Jest, RTL, etc.)
Experience with microservices and frontend/backend integration
Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
Experience with engineering best practices (SOLID, DDD, Design Patterns)
Experience with Golang on the backend (advantageous)
Experience in mission-critical / high-volume environments (advantageous)
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform/CDK) (advantageous)
Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) (advantageous)
AWS certifications (advantageous)
Use of AI in the development lifecycle (advantageous)
