Account Manager – Government

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Use tools such as Cortex, ChatGPT and/or other AI, professional network contacts and market information to map potential clients and generate consistent opportunities;
- Identify business opportunities within existing portfolios or new accounts, ensuring client retention;
- Plan and organize regular visits, maintaining a consultative relationship;
- Conduct an in-depth diagnosis of client needs (commercial anamnesis), i.e., understand the business model, internal processes, decision-making structure and main pain points to build customized, differentiated proposals;
- Lead discovery meetings with technique and active listening, i.e., establish rapport, ask strategic questions, identify latent and explicit needs, and guide the client in co-creating the solution;
- Record opportunities in the system (CRM) and maintain rigorous updates, including communication with manufacturers/vendors for approval of resources;
- Balance vendor involvement, protect negotiation margin and ensure commercial conditions align with company objectives, i.e., act as guardian of margin and commercial strategy;
- Co-create strategic proposals in partnership with the pre-sales team, i.e., actively collaborate in preparing the proposal to ensure it meets client objectives with competitive differentiation and technical feasibility;
- Conduct proposal presentation meetings focused on value, differentiators and impact, reinforcing why the client should choose IT-ONE;
- Monitor the procurement and negotiation process with the client, i.e., master the client’s purchasing process, adjust proposals when necessary and maintain dialogue with procurement and/or bidding departments until approval;
- Always update and manage the pipeline in the CRM;
- Hand off the approved project/proposal to the services, pre-sales and project manager teams, ensuring alignment and continuity of delivery through an internal post-close kick-off;
- Monitor client satisfaction, remain the primary point of contact and generate new opportunities based on delivered projects, i.e., maintain active post-sale engagement;
- Strictly comply with standards, policies and deadlines defined according to your roles and responsibilities;
- Perform other activities related to the position.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in technology sales with a focus on Cloud and Services;
- Bachelor's degree preferred;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Technical knowledge of IT solutions and infrastructure;
- Strategic use of CRM and prospecting tools;
- Ability to read and interpret procurement processes;
- Experience using public procurement/bidding portals;
- Account planning skills;
- Proficient CRM usage;
- Experience managing relationships with manufacturers/vendors;
