About the role
- Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
- Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications
- Design creative prototypes according to specifications
- Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
- Perform unit and integration testing before launch
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features.
- Assist in the monitoring and diagnosis of performance problems.
- Familiarity but functional application knowledge and experience with the MS Access database and Microsoft SQL
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in application development and maintenance
- Working knowledge and experience coding in Java is required
- Experience with CloudFusion development
- Knowledge of several of the following areas is desirable: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and SQL Server, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML, DBMS's (ex. - Oracle, Sybase, etc.).
- Active Secret clearance , required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
