Lead, mentor, and coach a pod of 3–6 engineers (T2–T4) through regular 1:1s, daily standups, backlog/WIP reviews, and performance check-ins.
Build skill progression paths, ensure technical coverage, and provide continuous coaching to elevate pod performance.
Balance leadership responsibilities with a meaningful billable workload, maintaining strong client-facing contributions.
Own pod scheduling, prioritization, capacity planning, and accurate forecasting.
Ensure pod adherence to documentation, engineering standards, change control, and quality expectations.
Monitor pod performance, identify risks early, and communicate status to the Director of Engineering.
Coordinate with Consulting, Account Management, Security, and the Support Desk to ensure seamless service delivery and proactive client health.
Provide oversight on complex incidents and changes, reviewing root cause analyses and supporting problem resolution.
Approve time entries and expenses, assign work, and take full responsibility and accountability for your pod’s entire book of business, ensuring team execution, client outcomes, and service delivery remain fully aligned with client priorities and SLA commitments.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of client outcomes and team success.
Requirements
5+ years in engineering roles with demonstrable depth in infrastructure, cloud, and security
Valid driver’s license with insurance
Some local travel to and from clients is required
