About the role
- Serve as the primary compliance advisor to the Federal Sales team, providing guidance on federal regulations, contract requirements, and industry standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, CMMC, IL5). Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures specific to federal cloud activities. Review and support the preparation of proposals, contracts, and other documentation to ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and agency-specific requirements. Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. Liaise with internal stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Security, Product, etc.) to ensure alignment on compliance matters. Monitor regulatory changes and emerging requirements, communicating updates and training the team as needed. Manage compliance and security aspects of third party contractors supporting federal cloud services and support Support audits, assessments, and responses to government inquiries or investigations. Foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the Federal organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Public Policy, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, with at least 3 years supporting federal sales or government contracting in the technology or cybersecurity sector. Deep knowledge of federal regulations and standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS, FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, CMMC, IL5). Working/hands-on knowledge in AWS cloud environments (Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform understanding helpful) Experience supporting cross-functional sales and technical teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required.
