Web Performance Engineer
ISC2Web Performance & Tracking Engineer optimizing web performance measurement across ISC2 digital properties. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and maintain measurement frameworks, tracking plans, and event taxonomies for priority user journeys, conversion paths, and key digital experiences.
- Implement, test, and validate analytics tracking across web properties using tag management and analytics platforms to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data collection.
- Monitor and improve website performance metrics, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, and user experience signals, and partner with development teams to prioritize remediation opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that provide visibility into engagement, conversion, site performance, and feature adoption.
- Conduct quality assurance audits of tracking implementations, data layers, and reporting outputs; troubleshoot issues and establish governance standards and documentation.
- Translate analytics findings into actionable insights and recommendations that improve digital experiences, demonstrate feature impact, and inform business and product decisions.
- Collaborate with digital, UX, marketing, product, and engineering stakeholders to align measurement strategies with business goals and roadmap priorities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for implementing, debugging, and validating tracking and performance-related solutions.
- Knowledge of website performance measurement concepts, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, browser-based diagnostics, and front-end optimization principles.
- Strong understanding of event tracking design, data governance, QA processes, and analytics documentation best practices.
- Ability to analyze user behavior and performance data, identify issues and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, or related analytics and optimization platforms are preferred.
- Experience working with AI tools or a demonstrated willingness to learn.
