Control Systems Specialist – HVDC and FACTS

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a technical reference for HVDC systems and FACTS equipment
- Develop, analyze and validate control strategies and control loops applied to energy conversion systems
- Evaluate the performance of control systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Perform technical analyses, diagnostics and troubleshooting of control systems and power electronics
- Assess and monitor the performance of valves and auxiliary systems
- Conduct tests and validations in an RTDS environment
- Participate in maintenance, testing, commissioning and functional validation activities for HVDC and FACTS systems
- Analyze incidents, disturbances and operational events
- Support technical decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Experience in control systems, automation, power electronics or power systems
- Strong knowledge of control systems and control loops, control logic and automation, power electronics, power converters, digital control systems, analysis and diagnosis of complex systems, and the use of RTDS for testing, validation and performance analysis of control systems
- Advanced or fluent English
