About the role
- Lead the local execution of reorganizations and reductions in force (RIFs), including managing compliance, consultation, and severance to ensure smooth and legally sound transitions.
- Manage inquiries and escalations from employees and people leaders, providing expert coaching and advice on performance management, employee relations, and policy interpretation to resolve issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and organizational standards by maintaining strong relationships with unions and works councils, leading labor negotiations, and adapting HR policies to meet local legislation.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of local Mexican labor laws, employment legislation, and HR best practices to mitigate legal risk.
- [5-7] years of progressive experience in Human Resources, specifically managing employee relations, organizational change, and labor relations in Mexico.
- Proven ability to navigate complex, sensitive employee issues with sound judgment, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP, CIPD, or a local equivalent.
- Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
