About the role

  • Developing, implementing, managing, and validating statistical-based custom analytics for pharmaceutical client engagements
  • Assisting the IQVIA Real World Insights and Commercial Services teams with use of appropriate data assets, methodologies, statistical techniques and delivery options
  • Designing and documenting analytical plans and developing detailed programming specifications for analysis execution
  • Coordinating with off-shore statistical programmers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accurate and timely delivery
  • Collaborating closely with project managers to create timelines and ensure accurate, unbiased presentation of results
  • Understanding contracted scope of work and identifying potential out-of-scope activities
  • Supporting business development via feasibility reports, effort estimations, and methodology development
  • Managing development work for urgent/complex projects requiring programming and statistical models in Python, R or other software
  • Building expertise in cross-platform applications of IQVIA assets with specialization in longitudinal pharmacy and medical claims IQVIA data
  • Contributing to development of innovative methodologies and new offerings and creating/refining best practices
  • Mentoring junior team members and potential direct people management

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Bio-informatics or related field OR Ph.D. Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Bio-informatics or related field
  • Demonstrated organizational skills required to oversee a project from concept to completion
  • Ability to work under stringent deadlines and be multi-task oriented
  • Innovative thinking on conceptual products and services
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art statistical/longitudinal/data mining methods
  • Independent personal development in new database sources
  • Experience with pharmaceutical industry strongly desired
  • Experience developing, implementing, managing, and validating statistical-based custom analytics
  • Experience designing/documenting analytical plans and programming specifications
  • Proficiency with programming and statistical models in Python, R or other software packages
  • Experience coordinating with off-shore statistical programmers and collaborating with project managers
  • Experience building expertise in longitudinal pharmacy and medical claims data and cross-platform applications
