About the role

  • Lead teams in the design, development, and delivery of projects.
  • Responsibility for project strategy, methodology design & approach, and ensuring the project delivers high levels of quality/added value.
  • Works with Principals in the management of complex projects.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement with our clients and ensure the project team achieves efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Provides a high level of input to, and ensures the development of, client reports and presentations and delivers all or significant portions of findings to client(s).
  • Serve as a Medical Affairs and solutions-based expert, internally and externally, by applying consultative problem-solving skills.
  • Proactively strengthen medical and therapeutic subject matter expertise through on-the-job experience, participation in conferences and symposiums, and other forums for professional knowledge sharing.
  • Formal and informal coaching responsibility for junior team members.
  • Proactively mentor, coach, and share subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities and deliver world class solutions for clients.
  • Support Principals in managing business development, including proposal preparations and/or modifications including overall bid integrity.
  • Seek out and discuss new revenue opportunities at existing clients, ensuring a continuous flow of business from client engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience within medical affairs or related areas within the pharmaceutical, healthcare consulting, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding in one or more of the following medical affairs domains: clinical development, study design, patient care, real world data (medical and pharmacy claims, EMR data, etc.), HCP engagement by life sciences companies.
  • Expertise in domains adjacent to medical affairs, such as regulatory or pharmacovigilance, would also be considered.
  • Experience leading project teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Possesses strong project delivery skills and ability to translate past success into new opportunities with clients.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business including revenue expectations, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making and growth.
  • Strong leadership, client engagement, strategic thinking, and consultative skill set and the ability to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, proposal and report writing.
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Works effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
  • Some travel may be required (25%).
