About the role
- Support the delivery of a wide range of client projects in the pharmaceuticals and medical devices space in Canada, including: market access projects, retrospective database studies, commercial strategy, health economic analyses, patient journey mapping, access measures, and other varied and engaging assignments.
- Contribute to study design and the development of methodology
- Develop innovative approaches, frameworks, and solutions to client problems
- Assist in preparing study protocols and draft reports
- Analyze and interpret real-world qualitative and quantitative data for deliverables
- Perform ad hoc project tasks
- Prepare presentations, summaries, and manuscripts related to projects, including materials for scientific conference presentations and journal submissions
- Conduct primary and secondary research
- Organize workshops and facilitated discussions
- Present findings to external clients
Requirements
- 2 years of experience conducting database or health outcomes research, or experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a relevant area such as commercial analytics, marketing, market access, epidemiology, pharmacovigilance, outcomes research, health economics, RWE/RWD or biostatistics
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical reimbursement process in Canada
- Conduct analyses in databases and/or registries
- Perform longitudinal analyses of patient-level data
- Strong understanding of outcomes research theory and practical experience implementing research projects
- Numerate with strong quantitative skills
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- High level of literacy – able to write reports and manuscripts in clear, precise and concise language
- Understanding of and interest in the healthcare environment in Canada and internationally
- Experience programming with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel is an asset
- Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R) is an asset
- Commercial awareness and a good understanding of health technologies and the pharmaceutical industry gained through experience
- Familiarity with consulting methods, tools and techniques related to these areas
