About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and maintenance of logical networks and network equipment (routers, switches, OLTs, servers, etc.)
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in IP and Layer 2 networks
  • Configure and manage network devices such as routers and switches
  • Analyze network traffic using tools such as ping, traceroute, Zabbix, and Grafana
  • Manage network security policies and firewalls to protect internal and external perimeters
  • Monitor networks and services such as DNS and RADIUS, and other related tools
  • Collaborate with the traffic engineering team and perform analysis of MPLS networks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in roles related to logical networks
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Solid knowledge of routers, switches, OLTs, servers, and network equipment
  • Strong knowledge of IP and Layer 2 networks
  • Solid understanding of MAC tables and routing tables
  • Proficient in analyzing ping and traceroute outputs
  • Intermediate knowledge of dynamic routing protocols and BGP
  • Experience with network security policies and firewalls
  • Familiarity with Zabbix and Grafana
  • Knowledge of internal and external traffic engineering
  • Basic knowledge of MPLS networks
  • Intermediate knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of DNS servers, speed test tools, Looking Glass, RADIUS, and related services
  • Currently pursuing a Network Technician program or a specialization in the field
  • Desired certifications: CCNA, HCIA, JNCIA, MTCRE.
