About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and test data-oriented solutions for high-profile international organizations or legislator bodies
  • Build high-performance solutions for fast data aggregation
  • Integrate new data management technologies into existing data products
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting, highlighting trends and areas of interest
  • Implement and enforce standards and procedures for consistent, proper, high-quality data management
  • Consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on best practices
  • Contribute to an agile team culture, values, and solutions
  • Attend morning team huddles to discuss ongoing projects
  • Use data processing software based on VB Script after initial training, together with Python, Excel, SPSS, SQL, and related tools
  • Edit, submit, and write scripts based on client requests
  • Retrieve, transform, and visualize datasets
  • Prepare input files for analyses and decision systems
  • Process large amounts of information daily
  • Collaborate with research, project management, survey development, and QA teams
  • Exchange feedback and refine survey objectives
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and personal and professional development with a dedicated mentor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with data management or transformation software (SPS syntax, Dimensions)
  • Solid grasp of programming basics such as algorithms and databases
  • Prior experience with SPSS, SQL, and Excel advantageous during onboarding and training
  • Above-average understanding of data structure and principles
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience working in social research
  • Experience working in and being comfortable with an agile data delivery environment
  • Experience or interest and willingness to learn programming languages and tools including Python, R, VB, and Git
  • Experience or interest and willingness to learn data reporting and visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, and Harmony
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling
  • Ability to work independently without immediate supervision
  • Intellectual curiosity and focus on added value for internal and/or external clients
