About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the cross-functional Global Asset Team and build the vision and strategy to maximize asset value
- Create scientific and commercial value from early development through commercialization and patent expiry
- Own the overall program strategy, establish project goals, and lead cross-functional teams
- Define integrated development strategies and executable high-level roadmaps
- Oversee operations, align functions, and drive operational excellence
- Evaluate medical literature and competitive developments to inform lifecycle management strategy
- Set product strategy and operational priorities aligned with corporate objectives
- Drive development, registration, launch, market-facing activities, and lifecycle management initiatives
- Lead communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Report progress, risks, and opportunities to functional and executive leadership
- Represent the asset in Ipsen Governance Committees
- Serve as ambassador for the asset and Ipsen across scientific, healthcare, patient, and partner communities
- Define resource requirements and challenge resource allocation decisions
- Develop and execute comprehensive risk mitigation plans
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams
- Mobilize resources across a complex global matrix through influence and collaboration
- Foster innovation, agility, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with R&D SOPs, GCP standards, applicable regulations, and Ipsen policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in Medical or Life Sciences, such as MD, PhD and/or MBA
- Board certification in Oncology or Hematology highly valued for physician candidates
- Minimum 5 years of global project leadership experience within biotechnology or pharmaceutical environments
- Demonstrated success leading complex global matrix teams and influencing without formal authority
- Experience across Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Safety, Medical Affairs, and Project Management
- Deep understanding of oncology and the competitive landscape
- Strong external scientific networks highly advantageous
- Visionary leadership with ability to inspire others and build high-performing teams
- Ability to balance short- and long-term priorities
- Ability to navigate complexity and solve critical business challenges
- Ability to lead with authenticity, courage, and impact
- Ability to deliver activities in compliance with R&D SOPs, GCP standards, applicable regulations, and Ipsen policies
