Report to VP, Head of Oncology Global Partnering and support in all BD-related operations in Oncology
Provide support to optimize deal flow (process and execution), BD strategy and visibility of Ipsen as partner-of-choice in Oncology
Manage due diligence, and structure and negotiate transactions including licensing deals, product acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and M&As
Collaborate with stakeholder functions (country/regional leadership, Commercial Franchises, R&D, IP, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing and Corporate Strategy) to establish BD strategy & goals aligned with corporate objectives
Ensure high-quality due diligences and execute value-add deals across all stages of development and commercialization
Lead multi-functional due diligence and ensure appropriate documentation and review by respective functions
Lead or co-lead contract negotiations and work cross-functionally to ensure high-quality contracts
Provide concise and accurate updates and documentations to VP and senior management and committees for deal review and decision-making
Contribute to business strategy through analysis of market, R&D/competitive landscape and Ipsen’s needs in Oncology
Deliver timely updates and customized support to VP and GPEI leadership
Interface with internal stakeholders and external executives including C-level and maintain professional network through conferences and industry events
Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen U.S. staff
Requirements
Master’s degree in Science required
Advanced post-graduate degrees ideal (e.g. Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, PharmD, MD)
Master’s in Finance or MBA desirable
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong track record of executing BD deals
Experience of BD in the R&D and commercial context, ideally with international experience
Oncology experience required
Experience of several therapeutic areas ideal
