Develop and lead the implementation of strategies to detect and mitigate biometric threats
Work closely with the Head of Biometric Platform to develop and optimise AI-based systems as required in the biometric platform
Work closely with the Head of Core AI to align the development of systems across teams
Drive improvements in the processes by which systems are developed and updated including the creation and management of datasets
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of emerging biometric threat landscapes
Lead the development of algorithms and models to detect and prevent biometric threats and drive the process to successful deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate biometric security solutions into existing systems and processes
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including academic researchers and industry experts, to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI
Assign work to ML engineers, managing their workload and project expectations
Ensure the team is motivated and understands the tasks assigned to them. Ensure the team have the time and resources to be able to do their work to a high standard
Support the team in their career and learning goals
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in ML, AI, Computer Science or related field
At least 3 years of experience in AI (preferred)
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective cutting edge AI systems
Strong awareness of state of the art AI and developments in the field
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++ or Java
Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
Proven interest in taking on a management role.
