About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide legal advice to the company's commercial area (sales team for the service station network).
- Draft legal opinions on negotiation proposals submitted by the commercial team.
- Participate in meetings and cross-functional committees to obtain approvals for commercial agreements, whether in court or out of court.
- Review complaints, answers, appeals, and other significant pleadings prepared by external counsel.
- Manage litigation and oversee law firms engaged by the company's commercial legal department.
- Manage contingent liabilities, recommend provisions, and forecast expected losses in disputes under the department's responsibility.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active registration with the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).
- Willingness to travel and mobility.
- Knowledge of Civil Law, Civil Procedure, Contract Law, Corporate and Business Law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- More than 1 year of professional experience in the area.
