Quality Assurance Team Leader
IOSHQuality Assurance Team Leader overseeing compliance and quality assurance in educational assessment. Guiding a team to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and continuous improvement in processes.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Quality Assurance Team within the Awarding Organisation function
- Ensure compliance and quality of assessment and delivery networks for qualifications
- Manage and coordinate the lifecycle of assessed provision from registration to certification
- Ensure adherence to education regulatory requirements through approvals, audits, and monitoring of centres/providers
- Coach colleagues to improve regulatory understanding and service delivery
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports to inform management decision-making and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory roles within education or awarding organisations
- Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate, and develop a team of quality assurance professionals
- In-depth knowledge of assessment practices, audit processes, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Excellent organisational and project management skills to oversee multiple centres, providers, and programmes simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide guidance and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest
- Analytical ability to produce insightful reports that drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge and experience of assessment and training principles
- Knowledge of quality systems and processes
- Experience of completing internal and external audits in a regulated environment
- Desired qualifications: Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
