About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Quality Assurance Team within the Awarding Organisation function
  • Ensure compliance and quality of assessment and delivery networks for qualifications
  • Manage and coordinate the lifecycle of assessed provision from registration to certification
  • Ensure adherence to education regulatory requirements through approvals, audits, and monitoring of centres/providers
  • Coach colleagues to improve regulatory understanding and service delivery
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports to inform management decision-making and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory roles within education or awarding organisations
  • Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate, and develop a team of quality assurance professionals
  • In-depth knowledge of assessment practices, audit processes, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills to oversee multiple centres, providers, and programmes simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide guidance and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest
  • Analytical ability to produce insightful reports that drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience of assessment and training principles
  • Knowledge of quality systems and processes
  • Experience of completing internal and external audits in a regulated environment
  • Desired qualifications: Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
