About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support students through their undergraduate research journey
- Act as a mentor, source of information, and facilitator to students as they progress through planning and undertaking a research project
- Take a minimum of three students per semester, with the option to take up to eight
- Allocate 10 hr of supervisor time per student, including supervision sessions and email communication
- Mark students’ dissertations and attend team meetings and training for around 3 hr per semester
Requirements
What you’ll need- A MSc or PhD in a nutrition-related subject (e.g. nutritional therapy, nutritional science, dietetics, food science) or PhD in a related subject (e.g. medicine, nursing, sports science, psychology, biostatistics, sleep science)
- Teaching or training experience in higher education
- Previous experience supervising research projects
- Organisational skills
- Professional body membership/registration (a mandatory requirement for clinical modules only)
- Self-directed and able to contribute to the team
