About the role

  • Lead and deliver advanced technical safety, risk and RAM solutions
  • Oversee formal safety studies ensuring high standards of quality, cost, and schedule
  • Act as a technical authority guiding teams and reviewing project deliverables
  • Expand services into complementary areas like FTA, RCA, FMECA, and human factors engineering
  • Support clients in meeting regulatory and legislative obligations with clear, authoritative analysis and advice
  • Contribute to business development, proposals, and client engagement
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, building capability and confidence within the team

Requirements

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or another relevant STEM field
  • 10–15 years of experience in safety, risk, and/or reliability engineering, ideally with exposure to high-hazard industries (energy, oil & gas, chemicals, renewables)
  • Proven track record delivering complex technical safety/risk analyses and RAM studies at a senior level
  • Strong background in tools and methodologies such as PHAST, SAFETI, QRA, FTA, FMECA, MAROS, TARO
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, combined with strong communication and report writing ability
  • A collaborative, proactive, and flexible approach to consultancy work
