About the role

Provide technical leadership; mentor other engineers; drive improvements in testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
Design and develop robust, scalable automated test frameworks and create strategies for test environments and data.
Lead performance, load, and stress testing to identify bottlenecks, analyze results, and ensure systems are built for scale.
Collaborate across teams to integrate testing into development lifecycle; use metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Shape quality strategy and evaluate/implement testing tools; champion a culture of quality across engineering organization.

3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on test automation (SDET).
Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails is highly desired.
Extensive experience designing and building test automation frameworks and using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Hands-on experience with performance and scalability testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Exceptional collaboration skills; ability to communicate clearly and partner effectively with developers, product managers, and operations engineers.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems.
Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
