About the role

  • Provide technical leadership; mentor other engineers; drive improvements in testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable automated test frameworks and create strategies for test environments and data.
  • Lead performance, load, and stress testing to identify bottlenecks, analyze results, and ensure systems are built for scale.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate testing into development lifecycle; use metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Shape quality strategy and evaluate/implement testing tools; champion a culture of quality across engineering organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on test automation (SDET).
  • Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails is highly desired.
  • Extensive experience designing and building test automation frameworks and using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Hands-on experience with performance and scalability testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Exceptional collaboration skills; ability to communicate clearly and partner effectively with developers, product managers, and operations engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems.
  • Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
