About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, including operating systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Coordinate with vendors and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.
- Support IT initiatives such as hardware rollouts, software upgrades, and security compliance.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and contribute to continuous improvement of support procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in desktop or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and common enterprise software.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and VPN.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are a plus.
