About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the payroll process by preparing and verifying employee data.
- Ensure compliance with payroll policies, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Process payroll data including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Verify and reconcile payroll information to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the payroll system.
- Assist with payroll audits and prepare reports as needed.
- Coordinate with HR to track employee leave, benefits, and changes affecting payroll.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in accounting or finance preferred.
- Previous experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
