About the role

  • Provide exceptional maintenance support at multifamily communities in Minneapolis, Hopkins, Wayzata, and Burnsville, MN
  • Represent Investment Property Group in a positive and professional manner
  • Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs in accordance with policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements
  • Follow procedures for accessing materials, tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor about re-ordering needs
  • Perform general community and facilities maintenance under minimum supervision to meet quality and efficiency standards
  • Promote positive resident relations and assist with inspections and upkeep of property and common areas daily to detect maintenance problems
  • Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and contribute to occupancy goals and quality living experience for residents
  • Serve as a resource for management and assist in developing and communicating more efficient maintenance methods
  • Participate in after-hour and emergency coverage rotation

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multifamily community of 100+ units
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with residents and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Superior customer service, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies as needed and participate in on-call rotation schedule
  • Experience and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, washer, dryers, etc.)
  • Employees must supply their own hand tools and possess knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices
  • Strong communication skills and works well as a team
  • A positive attitude
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required
