About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement highly available and scalable Azure cloud data and API solutions that meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement solutions aligned with product and business needs.
Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis.
Act as a primary technical resource to define architecture and coding standards, solve complex platform problems, and mentor engineers while partnering with Product and Architecture teams to deliver secure, robust product features.
Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams, driving outcome‑oriented assessments of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability within existing systems and information architecture.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 15+ years of experience in software architecture, engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience with Azure cloud technologies, including deployment of microservices using C#/.NET in Azure Government Cloud, including AKS, App Services, Azure Key Vault, Azure SQL, Redis Cache, and Storage Accounts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, and Application Insights.
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET Standard /.NET Core, supporting digital offers with new feature development and enhancements.
Good working knowledge of Azure infrastructure, security, and token management.
Experience integrating and operationalizing AI capabilities, including Azure OpenAI, Copilot extensions, and LLM‑assisted tooling, into new and existing products.
Experience designing and implementing cost‑effective, large‑scale data platforms, from real‑time and batch ingestion to analytics delivery and reporting.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and focus to meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively within the team.
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and concepts, including Azure Pipelines, GitHub Workflows, and Terraform.
Solid scripting experience using Python and/or PowerShell.
Ability to manage ambiguity and solve undefined or complex problems.
Proven ability to guide and lead junior and mid‑level engineers to achieve desired project outcomes.
Good knowledge of time‑series databases such as InfluxDB, AVEVA CDS, or TimescaleDB.
