About the role

  • Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for development of mechanical parts including sheet metal, machined alloy, thermoset, thermoplastic, copper busbar, solenoids, electrical contacts and assemblies.
  • Build and maintain Bills of Material for MRP and Manufacturing.
  • Assemble prototypes and execute physical testing to prove critical design requirements.
  • Apply product design knowledge for Design for Safety and Reliability principles including DFMEA and CQCS.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, validation, and manufacturing release activities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electronics/systems engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • Provide engineering support for production and quality issues, including RCA and corrective actions.
  • Interface with manufacturing plants to support day‑to‑day production needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate and implement design changes related to reliability, cost reduction, manufacturability, and component obsolescence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency with Creo 3D modeling software
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with applied understanding of electrical power concepts.
  • Internship or co‑op experience with ATS or similar electromechanical power distribution products.
  • US citizen or those who have the legal right to work in the US with no sponsorship
