About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take responsibility for safety management: perform safety and risk analyses for complex mobile systems and their components using established methods such as HARA, PHL/PHA, FMEA or FTA.
  • Develop safety strategies and safety cases for demanding technical applications and support the evolution of safety-relevant functions throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Conduct safety assessments: identify potential safety gaps in system development and define appropriate measures to meet applicable norms and standards.
  • Design safety concepts for modern, highly functional systems and work closely with Systems Engineering and the safety management team.
  • Create impact: support the safe and robust design of innovative systems that are used worldwide.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field
  • Initial practical experience with safety topics, such as safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262, ISO 12100, EN 50126, MIL-STD-882) and methods of safety analysis (HARA, PHL/PHA, FMEA, FTA)
  • Experience in requirements management is a plus
  • Basic understanding of system development and a strong interest in safety
  • Willingness to travel for national client assignments
  • Business-fluent German and fluent English
