About the role

  • Data analysis and validation: Clean and validate complex datasets using statistical and stochastic models to ensure high data quality
  • Algorithm development: Design and develop complex algorithms to analyze very large datasets. Develop data-driven strategies to ensure and optimize the functionality, performance, and safety of highly complex systems
  • Generate impact: Implement condition-monitoring algorithms for safety-critical systems using complex sensor networks
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work in agile, cross-functional teams—both internally at INVENSITY and on-site with clients
  • Knowledge sharing and mentoring: Share your expertise in workshops, coaching sessions, and projects while also learning from other experts

Requirements

  • Degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, data science, electrical engineering, statistics, or a comparable field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data science
  • Strong experience processing large datasets and a solid understanding of statistical structures
  • Excellent programming skills in Python
  • Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, Apache Spark, or Apache Airflow is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for measurement technology and software development, with an interest in algorithms, sensors, predictive maintenance, and statistics
  • Business-fluent German and fluent English
