About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As a SCADA Sr. Project Engineer, you will be on the Construction team, with responsibility for the engineering, procurement support, commissioning, and acceptance of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and associated communications and control infrastructure for thermal generation projects.
  • The role requires close coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders to develop conceptual control system designs, manage procurement activities, and oversee detailed design, commissioning, and site acceptance testing through project completion.
  • The scope includes DCS and plant IT/OT platforms such as RTACs, RTUs, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), network switches, firewalls, annunciators, HMIs, and all associated connectivity supporting steam turbine, combined-cycle, simple-cycle gas turbine, and geothermal facilities.
  • The scope may also include providing support for renewable energy projects, as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of generation DCS experience.
  • Knowledge of both the physical and software aspects of networking equipment that connect thermal generation assets.
  • Advanced knowledge and programming of DCS, HMI, PLC platforms.
  • Experience and familiarity with various industrial communication protocols and architectures such as OPC, DNP3, ModBus and EGD.
  • Experience working around HV/MV electrical infrastructure (substations/switchyards, distribution systems, transmission lines, transformers, relays, meters, CTs, and PTs).
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
