About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the pipeline of SCADA projects through integration and into operations.
- Maintain awareness of project schedules and milestone dates leading up to the operational integration phase.
- Conduct project assessments to determine scope, objectives, and resource requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining deliverables, timelines, milestones, and critical success factors.
- Proactively identify and address potential project risks and issues to maintain project momentum.
- Manage operational project initiatives to improve and modernize the infrastructure supporting the fleet of generation assets.
- Work with SCADA engineers, external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project activities, resolve conflicts, and manage expectations.
- Ensure seamless communication between all parties involved in the project.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, status updates, diagrams, and division-of-responsibility matrices.
- Present project status and performance metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years managing complex projects from inception to completion in an industrial or utility environment
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Effective communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Solid project management skills, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and budget control
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify, solve and communicate complex problems
- Strong technical background and understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, and communication protocols
- Experience working with project/task management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana)
- Experience creating drawings/diagrams to document and convey technical information (e.g., Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD)
- Certification in project management (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC CIP)
