About the role
- Responsible to plan and deliver Nutrition Program activities
- Provide support for women who are pregnant or have babies less than one year of age
- Organize cooking groups for pregnant women and young parents
- Select or help women select nutritious recipes
- Shop for healthy groceries and snacks
- Ensure required cooking equipment and supplies are readily available
- Plan special activities and educational talks for a pregnancy/parenting support group
- Sessions on healthy eating, breastfeeding support, infant nutrition, and healthy living
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 8 education
- Basic cooking skills with ability to follow recipes
- Ability to lead group information sessions
- Good organizational skills
- Good computer skills
- Cultural awareness of local community
