About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Intuitive products within the assigned area of responsibility
- Ensure service agreements and warranty obligations are met and exceeded
- Provide technical support to end-users and Intuitive employees
- Conduct training sessions at Intuitive facilities, training centers, and hospitals
- Perform system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Intuitive products and associated equipment
- Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation
- Document service activities, maintain records, and provide reports to stakeholders
- Complete administrative duties including spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, and expense reports
- Maintain company-provided tools, vehicles, laptops, iPads, and other assets
- Collaborate with Sales, Genesis, headquarters, and other Intuitive teams
- Provide feedback to headquarters and participate in continuous improvement projects
- Manage customer needs, system install-base configurations, customer contacts, training, and events in the assigned territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Reside typically within 30 miles of the assigned territory or designated area
- Ability to work flex shifts, second shifts, or other shifts as required
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and move wheeled objects up to 1,200 lbs.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain Vendor Credentialing approval for operating-room access
- Compliance with required vaccinations for vendor credentialing
- Proven troubleshooting experience with electro-mechanical systems
- Good written and oral communication skills
- General computer skills
- Comfortable working off hours with limited support
- Excellent administrative and record-keeping skills
- 1–3 years of field service experience preferred
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience preferred
- Knowledge and implementation of operating-room protocol and HIPAA standards
